get corroded fast and the nuts come off
- making entire frame loose.
The glass tube breaks for want of support.

The Ball Check Myth and Choking:
If and when the glass breaks, the auto shut-off ball check
is supposed to roll under gushing liquid, seal the taper seat
and stop leakage. However, this rarely happens.
The orifice of the needle valve is small.Even a small solid
particle from the liquid obstructs the ball movement.
Also, if the ball check gets stuck in taper seat,
it prevents liquid movement to and from the gauge.
This gives misleading indication, showing empty
when full & vice versa. The ball check works only for
high pressure above 6 bar applications, like steam boiler,
Petrochemical etc. Tubular Guages are rarely used
for pressure above 6 bar. Thus Heavy duty model with
full bore ends, together with flanged ball valves on vessel,
provide an ideal choke free alternative.

by brackets attached to tie rods.
They break frequently due to
lack of continuous support.
